Clients: Robyn and Ryleigh
Tasks: Publicity, Personal Branding
In the spring of 2013, NovaCurrent PR began working with Canadian country artists Robyn and Ryleigh of MDM Recordings and Raincoast Music. Our first project together was a personal branding project that was authentic with Robyn and Ryleigh’s musical brand and their own individual personalities and interests.
Through this personal branding project, Robyn and Ryleigh received a new website, a brand summary, and a social media guide with directives on how to improve their social media outreach in advance of their debut album release planned for the summer.
For the next project with Robyn and Ryleigh, NovaCurrent PR launched a music publicity campaign in Vancouver targeted towards specific local media outlets as well as selected national outlets in advance of their July 2013 album release.
Over the course of this music publicity campaign, Robyn & Ryleigh received over 90 press clippings from 65 different media outlets.
Campaign highlights included television segments on Global BC Morning News, CTV Morning Live Vancouver, City Lights (Novus), and The Rush (Shaw TV), as well as interviews by CBC Music, The Province, Vancity Vogue, Notable Life, The Country Startpage The North Shore News, The Langley Advance, The Langley Times, Top Country, Country Music Junkies, and GuySpeed.
Robyn and Ryleigh – “Just Another Sundown” Official Music Video
NovaCurrent continued its work with Robyn and Ryleigh, this time with Royalty Records and Raincoast Music to manage publicity in regional areas of BC and Alberta to support the single release of “I Found You” in 2015.
To create some early buzz in between their 2013 album release and planned 2015 single release, we secured a television booking with Shaw TV Vancouver for Robyn & Ryleigh after their trip to Nashville to discuss their upcoming plans and offer an early look at the song.
After the release of the single, NovaCurrent and earned coverage for Robyn and Ryleigh in each regional stop of their accompanying BC and Alberta tour, with a total of 20 combined media placements.
Highlights included interviews and features from The Langley Advance, The Penticton Western News, The Tri-City News, The Revelstoke Current, The Revelstoke Mountaineer, and Rocky View Weekly.
