In the spring of 2020, we completed an application with Olivia Wik to the FACTOR Artist Development program in preparation for her next single, “Let’s Dance”.
NovaCurrent worked with Olivia Wik on all aspects of the application – including the artist development plan along with the supplementary materials.
Olivia Wik was approved for funding by FACTOR in the Artist Development program in 2020. The funding was used towards the lyric video production costs for “Let’s Dance”, the recording of a new single, “Write Me In It” as well as personal branding initiatives and the accompanying publicity campaign.
After the successful grant application to FACTOR, the next project between Olivia Wik and NovaCurrent PR involved personal branding to give Olivia a new brand presentation that would equally promote her rising status as an artist while also showcasing her extensive songwriting credits.
In January 2022, Olivia Wik’s new website was completed ahead of the release of her new single, “Let’s Dance”. We also worked with her to create a personal branding summary and a social media guide to provide a new set of social media directives moving forward.
In January of 2022, we continued our work with Olivia Wik by launching a publicity campaign in support of her single, “Let’s Dance”. The goal was to gain awareness for the single but also to reinforce Olivia’s equal accomplishments as a songwriter through a combination of interviews and features.
Over the course of our music publicity campaign, Olivia Wik earned over 25 media placements with highlights that included a premiere with Aesthetic Magazine, reviews from LA on Lock and Stereo Stickman, features by Bong Mines Entertainment and Keep Walking Music, and interviews by Canadian Beats, VENTS Magazine, OutLoudCulture, Fierce & Fabulous Revolution, BuzzMusic, Mundane Magazine, Tinnitist, Ai Love Music, and Hidden Beats. In addition, “Let’s Dance” was added to over 120 independent Spotify playlists through our outreach, making it Olivia’s most-streamed single on Spotify.
