Client: Jackson Hollow
Task: Publicity
In April of 2022, NovaCurrent Public Relations worked with Canadian bluegrass band Jackson Hollow on the publicity outreach for the group’s new single, “Look Who’s Talking Now”. Working in conjunction with Mountain Fever Records, the goal of this campaign was to supplement the label’s publicity outreach with selected outreach in Canada and abroad.
The highlights of this campaign included an interview with the Nashville-based Music City Music Magazine, a performance by the band for SCENES, and additional interviews with Tinnitist, Medium, Hidden Beats, and Canadian Beats. Following the campaign, Canadian Beats would later feature Jackson Hollow in its Top 5 Bands from British Columbia article.
We continued our work with Jackson Hollow and Mountain Fever Records a year later for the release of the band’s debut album, “Roses”. The goal of this campaign was to work alongside the label and leverage the group’s momentum and the album to gain coverage in Canada and elsewhere.
The highlights of this campaign included album reviews from Canadian Beats, The Parton and Pearl, Stereo Stickman, and The Sounds Won’t Stop, interviews with Medium, 612 Entertainment, The Surrey Now Leader, and a feature by Front Porch Music, The group was also interviewed by The Bluegrass Standard, which was chosen as a cover story for the September 2003 issue.
In February of 2024, Jackson Hollow was nominated by the Juno Awards for Traditional Roots Album of the Year.
