We’re thrilled to be working once again with Justine Blanchet on the music publicity campaign for her new single, “Heart Less”. Here is some info about Justine and the new single!
WITH HER TENTH COUNTRY SINGLE RELEASE, JUSTINE BLANCHET LISTENS TO HER “HEART LESS” AND FINDS CONFIDENCE AND CLARITY IN THE QUEST FOR LOVE
Canadian country artist Justine Blanchet is excited to share her tenth single release, “Heart Less”, which goes to digital platforms today. A music video arrives in March, followed by an April release to Canadian radio.
“Heart Less” is Blanchet’s second Nashville-produced single by Grammy-nominated Danick Dupelle (Tebey, Tyler Joe Miller, Matt Lang). Written by the formidable trio of Canadian country star MacKenzie Porter, Grammy winner Emily Weisband, and Grammy nominee Jordan Schmidt, “Heart Less” brings powerhouse songwriting to a catchy musical canvas of modern country beats and pop sensibilities. With a lively vocal delivery that conveys swagger and sass, Blanchet takes listeners through a girl-meets-bad-boy story of loving, losing, and knowing better.
She says, “This song is about recognizing that the classic bad boy you fell for is never going to change for you. Instead of being a conventional heartbreak song, it puts forward a bold idea – listen to your heart less. ‘Heart Less’ appealed to me because of this message, its play on words, and its overall vibe. Bringing to life what MacKenzie, Emily, and Jordan wrote was an honour.”
Originally from the Montreal area, the 21-year-old Blanchet has built an impressive catalogue of nine previous singles – including 2019’s “Strong” (175K Spotify streams), 2021’s “Get Out of the Mud” (#4 on CBC Country/Sirius XM), and 2022’s “Hard to Love” (75K Spotify streams and 150K YouTube views). Known to perform in English and French, she has matched her release output on stage at the Festival Country Lotbinière, the Gatlingburg Songwriter’s Festival, Big Valley Jamboree, the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, the Festival Western de St-Tite, and three Diamonds in the Rough showcases during Canadian Country Music Week.
As Blanchet hones her artistry in Nashville now, “Heart Less” marks a ten-single milestone and serves as her personal favourite from her upcoming debut EP. For fans who discover “Heart Less”, Blanchet wants them to put the same confidence and swagger into their own dating choices as she put into making the song her own.
She says, “For me, the lasting mantra of ‘Heart Less’ is to choose confidence and clarity over crying if things aren’t going your way romantically. Don’t be heartless, just use your heart less. Your stubborn heart won’t always realize when someone is wrong for you. The strength that comes from recognizing when it’s time to walk away will leave you feeling good about better things to come.”
“Heart Less” arrives across all digital streaming platforms today.
